FLORAL DESIGN
Guided tour of The Bloom Studio.
Learn the elements and principles of floral design with Katie.
Over three days, Katie will teach the techniques behind creating a garden style centrepiece, a bridal bouquet, and a market bunch.
Hands on floral design sessions. Create your own centrepiece, bouquet, and market bunch.
Learn how to design and style a full dinner party setting.
Practical session on the mechanics and techniques behind large scale floral installations.
Access to an abundant selection of seasonal foliages.
Fresh, in season blooms from Little Lyndoch Flower Farm, including dahlias and specialty flowers.
All tools, materials, and supplies will be provided throughout the retreat.

As I drove out I felt a bit sad it was over, but also so excited and motivated to put my new knowledge and ideas into practice. Bloom retreat is the best investment you can makein yourself . Initially I had some reservations in attending because I am nearly 65 and thought I was too old to learn new floristry and flower farming skills. I was certainly wrong about that!
Katie and Rob are very friendly and down to earth people who openly share everything about their own flower and farming journey including their failures, successes and future plans. They genuinely want participants to achieve their goals and be successful in their own businesses.
Whilst I already had some floristry and flower farming experience I left the weekend feeling empowered with more self belief to grow my business instead of thinking I was too old.
Personally I left the farm with new floristry and flower farming skills, learned more about costing of flowers and services, creating additional revenue streams, farm biosecurity and a big one for me was using social media effectively to drive my business.
The networking with like minded people was also just as rewarding and I am sure we will stay in contact into the future. Thank you Katie and Rob, it’s an experience I won’t forget.
